Fellowship Ball 2009 will include a "bucket raffle." Guests will receive five tickets when they walk in the door. These can be used to bid on great prizes that will be raffled off at the end of the evening. Additional tickets can be purchased that evening at $1/ticket.
Prizes include an autographed baseball by Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano, an autographed limited edition football by the Chicago Bears, beautiful glass art from Third Degree Glass Factory, and great things from Moosejaw Clothing.
Along with prizes, the night will include an open bar, incredible food donated by local businesses and volunteers, and will feature guest speaker Wallace Goode.
Wallace Goode joined the University of Chicago in 2005 as the Director of the University Community Service Center and Associate Dean of Students. Prior to that, he was the director of the Mayor's Workforce Solutions Division, assistant commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development, and the executive director of the Empowerment Zone. Wallace is a longtime resident of the Woodlawn community and attended Mt. Carmel High School.
